Insist on a contractor who can show you
evidence of his stability and competence.
You need to know that the contractor you choose has a history in the greater community, that he'll be there to stand behind his warranties, that he's qualified to do the job for which you hire hime. You'll also need tangible evidence that you will be protected.
We will show you the following:
- Our Certificates of Insurance. As a homeowner you will be held liable for injuries on the job if the contractor isn't insured. Insist on seeing a certificate showing worker's comp, vehicular liability, and a minimum $2 million aggregate* in general liability (total coverage for bodily injury, property damage, personal injury and personal medical expenses.
- All licenses and certificates applicable to the work being performed. This is critical. Your insurance will NOT cover damage resulting from work done by an unlicensed contractor. Here are ours:
- Letters from our key suppliers. These too will assure you of our sound credit history and the kind of relationship you can count on to be sure that parts and equipment will be available to complete your job on time without the threat of liens.
